Banzai Mascot Contest - Oni Sai

And after deciding to start something and get it done wihtin a week for a change, I am done. I did the vinette thing in the background like with the Momotarou but was doing a stormy ocean look instead of a nice forest, to imply the Oni Island from the Momotarou story. And turned the girl mascot from the convention into a demon girl.

The most tedious part, believe it or not, was getting her into a pose I liked. The skulls were actually really fun, lots of stuff with the Smeary Round brush. And I like drawing a girl with a sledge.

My main complaint is that I couldn't quite get it to fill the page, but since I am planning to do a compiled version with both illustrations and the Banzai logo, it's all good.

Painter 12. Took about 12 hours (too much time spent on her figure and pile of skulls, me thinks).
